Providence Downs South, the hottest new neighborhood in Union Co for Charlotte Real Estate is getting even better, the pool was just recently opened, the gates to the neighborhood are closing next week making it a controlled access neighborhood.  The schools for the neighborhood are Sandy Ridge Elementary, Marvin Ridge Middle and Marvin Ridge High, the elementary school and middle school are both Honor Schools of Excellence, a designation that only 3.4 %of schools in the entire state of NC achieves.

DOT has announced that the long overdue project to add lanes to Providence Road between I485 and Rea Road going into Union County toward Weddington will be open for bidding in Nov of 2007 and construction will begin Jan of 2008. 

Providence Road, otherwise known as NC 16 is a heavily traveled road with ongoing increasing traffic.  About 33000 cars travel the 3.5 mile section of NC 16 on a daily basis, by 2030, this number will likely be pushing 43000 with the growth of Union Co.  This relief is well overdue and is welcomed by everyone affected.

The Ballantyne area has become the second highest volume area of Charlotte for closings.  The 28277 area code, otherwise known as Ballantyne offers great schools, upscale lifestyle, convenience, and a plethora of choices for dining, shopping, etc.  The new Adrey Kell High School is performing well after its first full year in 2006-2007.

I have just helped a client of mine secure the last available new construction home from Westport homes in the Brook Valley development off of Wesley Chapel Stouts Rd in Union County NC. 

They purchased the Alexander 2 model, great home with a nice sized bedroom on the main floor.  So far Westport has been very easy to work with and the sales representative assisting in the sale, Scott Reed, has been attentive, accommodating, and responsive in all aspects of this transaction.  Westport allowed us to make some changes to the almost complete inventory home that I expected them to be more opposed to.  Scott Reed and Westport homes, a Charlotte area builder, have been a pleasure to work with and I will look forward to doing business with them in the future.  This home should close in October some time.
